New bed

We finally got a bed.... we feel like adults now, and it is so fun. Our bedroom is coming together... slowly but surely. Pictures to come! I still have to take some.

Our Place

Here are some pictures of the house. These were all taken from my phone, so they turned out pretty bad, but i needed an update with pictures... so here it is...

The house is what is called an "upside down house." The master bedroom, office, living room, kitchen extra bathroom and balcony are upstairs. There are 2 more bedrooms, a laundry room, a bathroom and another living room downstairs. We are mainly upstairs, unless we have to do laundry, or just want to go hang out on the back patio. It feels like we have lived here forever, i'm sure you can tell by the pictures... we are very comfortable already!

Our new HOUSE

We moved in last Saturday, so we have been here for a little over a week! We love it... it is nice and big and our appliances are all here and working well! Unfortunately i don't have any pictures yet because i can't find the hook up for my computer from my camera! I think i might need to go buy a new camera! As soon as i have pictures i will post them!!

Our House!

We found the perfect house and bought it! We are currently in escrow and should close by Thanksgiving! We are so excited and completely love the floor plan the crazy backyard with the huge hill in it, and the beautiful neighborhood in Southern Highlands! We are so excited to move in and have Thanksgiving dinner and a get together! I wish i had a picture, but there are no pics online. There are 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 2 living rooms... one upstairs and one downstairs. It is an upside down floor plan which kind of makes it feel like a loft! We are so excited!

The Search Continues...

Well, 

The search continues.  The search for a home.  The search for a wedding venue.  The search for time that seems to be so fleeting these days.  

We have been trying so hard to find a home.  We found several we love, but just couldn't seem to get one closed before the Oct. 1st deadline =(.  The search continues, however, and we will find something soon (hopefully).

We have probably researched every wedding venue on the planet, and have now extended our search to other planets.  Our list may get trimmed if we end up doing it on the moon, sorry if you don't make the cut.  Tried Hawaii, too expensive.  Trying Napa, still really expensive.  Trying Tahoe, still really expensive (notice a trend?).  If anyone has a spare 50k lying around, please contact me asap.  We will find a fantastic place, fear not!

What happened to the time?  Lauren and I have been seeing less and less of each other lately, which makes me =(.  We have been making our time together extra special to make up for the lack of quantity!  

Well, it's Sunday night.  I just finished my first graded assignment in law school (80% of classes base 100% of your grade on the final exam).  It was difficult, time consuming, and fulfilling*.

Wedding planning is so stressful!! This is a winery in Temecula that i am going to go check out one of these weekends... i do not want to get married in Las Vegas and everything else seems SOOOOO expensive! I think it looks pretty... any thoughts?

San Diego and Riley

We took a trip to San Diego to spend Memorial Day weekend at the beach and we ended up going to the Navy base and taking a tour of our friend Andy's ship! It was amazing and i definitely left with a major appreciation for the size of my room, my bed, my bathroom, and much much more... 

This is my little family! Riley turned 2 on June 5th which was a fun turning point, she grew out of puppyhood! She is so much fun and we cant get enough of her!!

Our First Blog

I decided to start a blog because i am completely over Myspace and never sign on, but i definitely want to stay in touch and keep everyone up to date on my life. So... the "pilkington clan" name is pretty much being used because soon enough i will be a Pilkington, and i didn't want to have to change it once that happens, plus the other 2 are already pilkingtons and outnumber me... also, the other addresses i tried were all taken!!! Anyhow, i am excited to post about my engagment to Tom!! We got engaged on 8/8/08 and Tom didn't even plan it that way! Pretty cool, huh? We were vacationing, staying at Tom's dads beautiful vacay home in Hamilton Montana.... pictures to come once i figure out how to post them. We were on the balcony overlooking the beautiful city/ forest and he got down on his knee and popped the question! I was completely surprised! It was wonderful, and now the wedding planning is about to begin...
